You BELONG at the Y! A Full Family YMCA Membership provides the most inclusive membership opportunity, enabling you to be a part of something bigger while also receiving the strongest YMCA benefits for your family. Full Membership includes unlimited access to the Elizabeth, Five Points, Rahway and Wellness Center Branches based on facility schedules and youth policies, as well as programs and services throughout The Gateway Family YMCA at Full Member pricing and registration benefits. Full Members receive 24-Hour access to YMCA360, as well as live Virtual programs taught by The Gateway Family YMCA. Access to Nationwide Membership and YMCA’s across the country is also included with Full Memberships.

- Adult Couple: Two (2) adults age 30-64 residing in the same household with no children on the membership
- Senior Couple: Two (2) adults age 65+ residing in the same household with no children on the membership
- Family 1 Adult: One (1) Adult and children residing in the household under the age of 27
- Family 2 Adult, Family 3 Adult, Family 4 Adult : Specified number of adults (Two, Three or Four) and children residing in the household under the age of 27

Community Impact – All Members are invited to Add a Community Impact Monthly Donation to Directly Support Financial Assistance and Membership For All. To make giving easy, all memberships listed as +Community Impact include an automatic monthly donation to the Annual Support Campaign. Should you wish to include a monthly donation at an amount of your choosing, please visit the welcome center for a Pledge Form, and our staff will be happy to assist, and thank, you!
For Full Members in an Individual Membership who wish to upgrade to a Full Family YMCA Membership, a Concierge Membership Upgrade Service is available to assist in finding the correct fit for you or your family.
Belong From Home! Virtual Only YMCA Membership
The Y isn’t a building. It’s people from all backgrounds and walks of life who come together to improve their lives, nurture their families and strengthen our community, together. We understand that not all members want to visit the Y in person.
BELONG to the Y and Support Your Community! By belonging to the Y through your Virtual Only membership, you are providing support to ALL in your community, through programs to combat social isolation, housing insecurity, learning loss prevention, safety around water and essential child care. Virtual Only membership provides individual access to a variety of free live Virtual Programs, a library of recommended recorded programs and priority registration with Full Privilege pricing on any paid Virtual Programs. Virtual Only membership includes 24-Hour access to YMCA360 and Virtual Y on Demand.
Virtual Only Membership does not include access to The Gateway Family YMCA facility or in-person programs. For Virtual Only Members who wish to upgrade to a Full Privilege YMCA membership, a Concierge Membership Upgrade Service is available to assist in finding the correct fit for you or your family.
Program YMCA Membership
Available on an annual basis, a Program Membership entitles individual members to register for programs, child care and summer camp at Program Member rates and registration benefits. Program Membership does not include access to The Gateway Family YMCA facility or virtual options, with the exception of attendance in the program currently registered.
For Program Members who wish to upgrade to a Full Privilege YMCA membership, a Concierge Membership Upgrade Service is available to assist in finding the correct fit for you or your family.
Community Membership
Everyone Belongs at the Y! Available on an annual basis, The Gateway Family YMCA Community Membership is open to all individuals and families who live in the communities served by our YMCA in Eastern Union County and Northern Middlesex County. Community Membership is an opportunity to participate in designated YMCA programs, special events and communications through a complimentary membership designed to provide access to all.
Community Membership does not include access to The Gateway Family YMCA facility or virtual options, with the exception of attendance in designated community programs, events or services. CLICK HERE for additional information on a Community Membership at The Gateway Family YMCA.
For Community Members who wish to upgrade to a Virtual Only, Basic Program, or Full Privilege YMCA membership, a Concierge Membership Upgrade Service is available to assist in finding the correct fit for you or your family.
Keeping Kids Safe and Secure
Youth under the age of 12 must be under direct adult supervision when using the YMCA and may not be left unattended at any time. Youth must also be accompanied by an adult on the pool deck and in the locker room. Youth wearing flotation devices must be accompanied by an Adult Member or paid guest in the water and within arm’s reach of assistance.
Youth under the age of 12 are not permitted in the Health and Wellness Centers, with the following exceptions: Youth ages 10-11 may use the fitness center at the Elizabeth Branch, Rahway Branch and Wellness Center Branch upon successful completion of the Youth Strength Training class, when accompanied by their parent or guardian.
YMCA Full Members are encouraged to bring a Guest to visit the YMCA. All guests must be accompanied by an active YMCA Full Member at all times within the YMCA facility. Applicable guest fees will apply for each visit.
Guests age 18+ must present government issued photo identification on every visit.
A Guest Application Waiver must be completed once a year and signed by the parent or legal guardian of any individual under the age of 18. This waiver will be kept on file until December 31st of each calendar year.

A SAFE ENVIRONMENT
The YMCA conducts regular sex offender screenings on all members, participants and guests. If a sex offender match occurs, the YMCA will cancel membership, end program participation, and remove visitation access. All visiting individuals 18 and over must provide a government issued photo ID upon entry to any of our YMCA facilities, programs or services
