We are closely following the recommendations and subsequent decisions on school re-openings by our state and local officials.
Even though before and after school care registration is not open yet, we want families to know that The Gateway Family YMCA will be here to meet the needs of our community. Families can rest assured that if we are allowed to operate and it is safe to do so, children will always have a refuge with us at the YMCA.
In preparation for the upcoming school year, we are working in conjunction with the school district on the best way to support the students. To assist us in planning for the upcoming school year, an online survey was sent to our School Age Child Care families (Please check your email). While we await decisions on the school year format, we want to reassure you that we will be prepared with child care options that ensure the safest possible environment for your child in accordance with the CDC, local and state guidelines. In alignment with new required procedures and guidelines, it is likely that our program will operate in a very different manner for the foreseeable future. Due to guidelines for social distancing, program capacity and interaction restrictions, we are expecting that we will need to decrease our enrollment capacity for each program.
Registration and additional program information, including pricing will be available once the school districts have determined the school structure for the 20/21 school year. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis and as a reminder, each school year requires a new registration. We are anticipating registration to begin sometime in August. All registration and paperwork will only be processed online through our website at www.tgfymca.org (a copy of the immunization record will need to be uploaded at the time of registration). If you receive any type of subsidy, please reach out to your case worker in advance to make sure your contract is active through the beginning of the school year.
