Basketball Camp
Entering Grades 1st-5th. This camp is designed for your child to have fun while gaining knowledge in the rules and skills of basketball. Players will work with an experienced coach specializing in the sport to improve on skills like dribbling, passing, shooting and defense.
Soccer Camp
Entering grades 1st-5th. Campers will focus on building skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. Players will learn teamwork and sportsmanship as well as gain confidence. Your child will come home happy, tired, and ready for more the next day.
Ninja Warrior Fitness Camp
Entering grades 1st-5th. This camp focuses on physical strength, speed, agility, and coordination in a fun manner. Campers will use their imagination to turn themselves into Ninja Warriors! Campers will also learn the importance of being caring, honest, respectful, and responsible.
Baseball/Softball Camp
Entering grades 3rd-6th. Camp is designed to develop each player’s skills by teaching the fundamentals of the game. Players will have the opportunity to work with YMCA coaching staff on hitting, fielding, and base running.
All Sports Camp
Entering grades 1st-5th and 6th-8th. Campers will be introduced to various sports each day throughout the week. Campers will learn new skills of each sport while learning the importance of teamwork. This is a good opportunity for both children who enjoy all sports and those who are looking to try new sports.
Cheer Camp
This camp is designed for the aspiring young athlete who wants to develop cheer skills in an exciting, creative and fun atmosphere. Campers will learn cheers, proper hand and body movements, choreography, as well as jumping techniques all while working as a team. There is no stunting involved.
Dance/Gymnastics Camp
In Dance or Gymnastics Camp, campers will work with certified dance or gymnastics instructors that will introduce them to the basics of dance in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz or the basics of gymnastics. This camp is designed to teach campers terminology, music, rhythm, technique, and creative movement. No dance or gymnastics experience or dance shoes are required to participate in this camp.
Splash Camp (Entering Grades 1-5)
Learning to swim is a life necessity safety skill. During Splash Camp, campers will enjoy a minimum of two hours of swimming each day. Children will learn swimming skills, water safety, and will participate in various water sports. Every Friday is fun with water day in which campers play water games. Splash Camp is supervised by the Aquatics Director. Campers will be monitored by certified lifeguards and taught by trained YMCA Swim Instructors.
Travel Camp (Entering Grades 3rd-8th)
Travel Camp is the perfect combination of traditional camp activities such as swimming, playing sports, creating art projects and much more. Sign up for Travel Camp and campers will be treated to special trips designed just for this camp. Campers will enjoy new experiences on each trip. Fun and adventure await so don’t miss out! (Weeks 4 & 8 only-minimum enrollment required)
Youth Strength Training Camp
Entering grades 6th-8th. In addition to Pioneer Camp, a YMCA Personal Trainer will bring the campers to the Fitness Center where they will learn the proper use of strength and cardio equipment, workout layouts, gym safety, and etiquette.
